Since the start of the pandemic, SAHSON adjusted and expanded its efforts to serve people and families who now face even greater barriers to education, employment, health care, and more amidst the COVID-19 crisis. On a daily basis, SAHSON provides assistance to people applying for unemployment, SNAP, Medicaid, Rental Assistance. 

In addition to the increase in need for assistance with public benefits, many  Refugees and immigrants community  have become food insecure during the pandemic. As a result, SAHSON has partnered with Catholic Charities to provide weekly food distribution, SAHSON deliver fresh produce and dairy up to 100 to 120 families every week to support immigrants and refugees families in Omaha.
